This signal lightning arrester is mainly used for surge voltage protection of data buses for two-wire/four wire common ground transmission and RS485/dual RS232 industrial control signal lines for two-wire/four wire common ground transmission. Adopting two levels of protection, coarse and fine, residual low voltage is used to protect against transient overvoltage caused by induced lightning or other situations introduced by the signal line, and to prevent damage to the transmitter and receiver due to lightning strikes or transient high voltage.
This series of products adopts a combination of three-level protection circuits. The first level uses switch type protection devices (gas discharge tube GDT), combined with isolation resistor elements that can withstand surge impact between stages, which can fully discharge most of the surge pulse current to the ground; The second level adopts varistors; The third level adopts voltage limiting protective devices (transient diode TVS with extremely fast response time), effectively clamping the voltage at the output terminal to ensure the safe and normal operation of the equipment.
